EstimateBuilderPro is an AI-powered estimate and invoice software designed for contractors. It helps you create professional estimates in 90 seconds using voice, text, or templates. Our platform includes features like Good-Better-Best pricing tiers, a pricebook for flat-rate services, and AI-powered follow-ups to help you close more deals.
How does the AI estimate generation work?
Simply describe your project in plain language or speak into your phone using our Voice-to-Estimate feature. Our AI analyzes your description, matches items from your pricebook, calculates labor and materials, and generates a professional estimate complete with line items, markup, and totals. You can review and edit before sending to your client.
What is Voice-to-Estimate?
Voice-to-Estimate lets you create estimates by speaking. Walk through a job site, describe what you see, and our AI transcribes your voice and generates a complete estimate. It supports both English and Spanish, and works great on mobile devices.
What is Good-Better-Best pricing?
Good-Better-Best (also called tiered pricing) lets you offer clients 3 pricing options for the same job. For example: Basic, Standard, and Premium packages. Studies show this increases average ticket size by 25-40% because customers often choose the middle or premium option when given choices.
What types of contractors is this for?
EstimateBuilderPro works great for electricians, plumbers, HVAC technicians, painters, general contractors, roofers, landscapers, and any trade that needs to create estimates and invoices. Our pricebook comes pre-loaded with 60+ services across 8 categories.
Can I use EstimateBuilderPro on mobile?
Yes! Our platform is fully responsive and works great on phones and tablets. The Voice-to-Estimate feature is specifically designed for mobile use at job sites. You can create, send, and manage estimates from anywhere.
How do my clients pay me?
When you send an invoice, your client gets a payment link that opens on any device. They can pay with credit card (Visa, MasterCard, Amex, Discover) or ACH bank transfer (lower fees on big jobs). Payments process through Stripe and land in your connected Stripe account — usually within 2 business days for cards, 3-5 days for ACH. Stripe Connect setup is required for online payments (available on the Business plan).
Is there a free plan?
Yes! Our Starter plan is completely free forever. It includes 3 estimates/month, 3 invoices/month, up to 3 clients, professional PDFs, and email support. It's perfect for trying EstimateBuilderPro before upgrading to a paid plan.
How does the 14-day free trial work?
When you sign up, you automatically get a 14-day free trial with full access to all Pro plan features — no credit card required, no plan selection upfront. Try the AI features, Good-Better-Best tiers, and more. At the end of the trial, choose Basic, Pro, or Business to keep going, or your account will switch to the free Starter plan.
Do I need a credit card to start?
No credit card is required for the Starter plan (free forever) or to start a free trial. You'll only be asked for payment information when you decide to subscribe to a paid plan.
What features are included in the free trial?
Your free trial includes full access to all Pro features: AI estimate generation, Voice-to-Estimate, Good-Better-Best tiers, your logo on documents, profit reports, CSV client import, bulk operations, and priority support. Up to 50 estimates and 50 invoices per month, 100 clients, and 3 team members.
What happens when my free trial ends?
When your trial ends, you can choose to subscribe to any paid plan, or your account will automatically switch to the free Starter plan. Your data is always safe—you keep access to your estimates, invoices, and clients, just with Starter plan limits.
Can I upgrade from Starter at any time?
Absolutely! You can upgrade from Starter to Basic, Pro, or Business at any time. Your data carries over seamlessly, and you'll immediately get access to the features of your new plan.
What plans do you offer?
We offer four plans: Starter (Free forever) with 3 estimates/month, Basic ($19/month) with 15 estimates/month, Pro ($49/month) with 50 estimates/month plus AI features, and Business ($99/month) with unlimited estimates and 10 team members.
What's the difference between the plans?
Starter (Free): 3 estimates, 3 invoices, 3 clients, professional PDFs. Basic ($19): 15 estimates, 15 invoices, 25 clients, dashboard metrics. Pro ($49): 50 estimates, 50 invoices, 100 clients, AI Estimate Writer, your logo on documents, profit reports, 3 team members. Business ($99): unlimited estimates/invoices/clients, white-label branding, QuickBooks + Google Calendar integrations, Stripe Connect online payments, 10 team members.
Can I upgrade or downgrade my plan at any time?
Yes! You can change your plan at any time from your account settings. When you upgrade, you'll get immediate access to new features and we'll prorate the charge. When you downgrade, the change takes effect at your next billing date. You can even downgrade to the free Starter plan.
Do you offer annual billing?
Yes, we offer annual billing with a 20% discount. Instead of paying monthly, you can pay once per year and save. Annual plans also include priority support and early access to new features.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept all major credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover) through our secure payment processor, Stripe. ACH bank transfer is also supported on all paid plans (monthly or annual) — lower fees for US contractors.
Are there any hidden fees or usage limits?
No hidden fees. Each plan clearly states what's included. The main limits are estimates/invoices per month, number of clients, and team members. Starter and Basic plans don't include AI features — those are available on Pro and Business. If you exceed limits, you can upgrade or wait until the next month.
Do you offer discounts for multiple users or teams?
The Business plan includes up to 10 team members. For larger teams or enterprise needs, contact us at [email protected] for custom pricing.
Is the Starter plan really free forever?
Yes! The Starter plan is 100% free with no time limit. You can use it indefinitely with 3 estimates and 3 invoices per month. It's our way of letting contractors try the platform risk-free. When you're ready for more, upgrade to a paid plan.
Is my data secure?
Absolutely. We use industry-standard encryption (TLS 1.3) for all data in transit and AES-256 encryption for data at rest. Our platform is hosted on secure cloud infrastructure with regular security audits. We never sell your data to third parties.
Where is my data stored?
Your data is stored in secure data centers in the United States. We use Supabase (built on PostgreSQL) for our database, which provides enterprise-grade security, automatic backups, and high availability.
Can I export my data?
Yes, you can export all your data at any time. This includes estimates, invoices, clients, and your pricebook. We provide exports in CSV and PDF formats. Your data belongs to you.
Do you comply with data protection regulations?
Yes, we are committed to data protection and privacy. We comply with applicable data protection laws and regulations. Our privacy policy details how we collect, use, and protect your information.
Who has access to my estimates and client information?
Only you and authorized team members on your account can access your data. Our support team can access your account only with your explicit permission for troubleshooting purposes. We maintain strict access controls and audit logs.
How do I cancel my subscription?
You can cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings. Go to Settings → Subscription and click "Cancel Plan". Your access will continue until the end of your current billing period. No questions asked, no hoops to jump through.
What happens to my data if I cancel?
When you cancel, your data is retained for 30 days in case you change your mind. After 30 days, your data is permanently deleted from our servers. We recommend exporting your data before canceling if you want to keep a copy.
Do you offer refunds?
We offer a full refund within the first 7 days of your paid subscription if you're not satisfied. After 7 days, we don't offer refunds, but you can cancel anytime and won't be charged for future periods. Since we offer a 14-day free trial, you have plenty of time to evaluate before paying.
Can I reactivate my account after canceling?
Yes! If you canceled within the last 30 days, you can reactivate your account and all your data will still be there. Simply log in and choose a plan. After 30 days, you'll need to start fresh with a new account.
