Markup Rules

Automate consistent pricing with markup rules.

Category Markups

Set default markups by category:

1. Go to Settings → Pricebook
2. Click on a category
3. Set "Default Markup"
4. All services in this category use this markup

Example:

• Parts: 35% markup
• Labor: 50% markup
• Equipment: 25% markup

Tiered Markup Rules

Apply different markups based on price ranges:

1. Go to Settings → Pricing Rules
2. Click "Add Tiered Rule"
3. Set ranges and markups:
   • $0-100: 50% markup
   • $101-500: 40% markup
   • $501+: 30% markup

Material Cost Updates

When material costs change:

1. Go to Settings → Pricebook
2. Select services to update
3. Click "Bulk Edit"
4. Adjust costs
5. Markups recalculate automatically

Override Rules

You can always override rules per estimate:

1. In the estimate, click a line item
2. Select "Custom Price"
3. Enter your specific price
4. This overrides any rules for this item only
