Creating Your First Estimate
This guide walks you through creating a professional estimate in EstimateBuilderPro.
Method 1: Quick Estimate
- Click the "+ New Estimate" button on your dashboard
- Select or add a client
- Add line items from your pricebook or type custom items
- Review totals and apply any discounts
- Click "Send" to email it to your client
Method 2: AI-Powered Estimate
- Click "AI Estimate" from the dashboard
- Describe the project in plain language
- Our AI generates line items automatically
- Review, edit if needed, and send
Method 3: Voice-to-Estimate
- Tap "Voice Estimate" on mobile
- Describe the job while on-site
- AI transcribes and creates the estimate
- Review and send before you leave
Adding Line Items
You can add items three ways:
- From Pricebook: Click "Add from Pricebook" and select services
- Custom Item: Type a description and price manually
- AI Suggestion: Let AI recommend items based on project description
Sending the Estimate
When ready to send:
- Preview the estimate
- Add a personal message (optional)
- Choose delivery method (email or link)
- Click "Send Estimate"
Your client receives a professional PDF and can accept online.
Tips for Better Estimates
- Use Good-Better-Best tiers to increase average ticket
- Include photos when relevant
- Set an expiration date to create urgency
- Follow up within 48 hours if no response
