Creating Your First Estimate

This guide walks you through creating a professional estimate in EstimateBuilderPro.

Method 1: Quick Estimate

  1. Click the "+ New Estimate" button on your dashboard
  2. Select or add a client
  3. Add line items from your pricebook or type custom items
  4. Review totals and apply any discounts
  5. Click "Send" to email it to your client

Method 2: AI-Powered Estimate

  1. Click "AI Estimate" from the dashboard
  2. Describe the project in plain language
  3. Our AI generates line items automatically
  4. Review, edit if needed, and send

Method 3: Voice-to-Estimate

  1. Tap "Voice Estimate" on mobile
  2. Describe the job while on-site
  3. AI transcribes and creates the estimate
  4. Review and send before you leave

Adding Line Items

You can add items three ways:

  • From Pricebook: Click "Add from Pricebook" and select services
  • Custom Item: Type a description and price manually
  • AI Suggestion: Let AI recommend items based on project description

Sending the Estimate

When ready to send:

  1. Preview the estimate
  2. Add a personal message (optional)
  3. Choose delivery method (email or link)
  4. Click "Send Estimate"

Your client receives a professional PDF and can accept online.

Tips for Better Estimates

  • Use Good-Better-Best tiers to increase average ticket
  • Include photos when relevant
  • Set an expiration date to create urgency
  • Follow up within 48 hours if no response
